PERMACULTURE ON THE SMALL FARM, AN INTRODUCTION (flyer)
REGISTER ON LINE The term permaculture is a contraction of the words "permanent". "agriculture," and "culture". Permaculture examines and follows nature's patterns. It is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive systems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural exosystems (G. Bell, The Permaculture Way).
Since the mid-1970's, permaculture has helped land stewards observe, map and optimize human needs, and natural flows. Long-time permaculture teacher and practitioner Tom Warm will cover:
- Patterns and principles for ecological design
- Applications and implementations for your small farm
- Management of multiple layers of infrastructure
- Use of the precautionary principle
